About Us

Why Breath Connection?

Breath Connection began as a small gathering of friends in Mallory’s Brooklyn home, meeting monthly for breathwork and intentional conversation. During the outbreak of COVID in 2020, we felt called into a bigger mission to share theses powerful breath practices with the world.

Breath practice is the ultimate tool for self-empowerment. Changing the way you breathe can change the way you feel in less than a minute, because breathing is directly connected to the autonomic nervous system. There are hundreds of different breath techniques that all have different physiological effects.

Our dream is for every human to have access to a toolkit of breath practices to help you respond more effectively to any situation. Learn how to quickly use your breath to calm stress, relieve anxiety, boost your energy or reconnect to your creativity.

When practiced regularly these techniques can rewire your nervous system and brain to change your baseline state. You will find that your ability to deal with challenging or uncomfortable situations greatly expands. Through your breath, you can stay calm, centered and creative, no matter what life throws at you. In this increasingly uncertain world, cultivating our inner resilience is more important than ever.

Mallory teaches breathwork and meditation 1:1 virtually to people all around the world with the goal of empowering each individual with the knowledge and confidence to integrate these practices in their daily life. Once you learn these tools, they are always accessible to you whenever you need them. Just a breath away…

We are excited to Breathe + Connect with you.

About Mallory

I am a Chinese-Singaporean-French-American-Londoner living in New York City, who is obsessed with breath and connection :)

In my 10+ years exploring yoga, meditation, Reiki, and many different spiritual traditions, I’ve found breath practices to be the most powerful tool for transformation. Working with your breath can instantaneously change the unconscious reactions of your autonomic nervous system and over time can reprogram these deeply ingrained patterns. Because of breath practices, I can now easily breeze through situations that used to send me into spirals of anxiety.

In this time of challenge and uncertainty, I want everyone to have access to these tools. I want you to feel empowered to consciously choose your response in any situation. I want you to realize that you have the power to approach ANYTHING life throws at you with confidence, calm and clarity.

I’m a grateful student and teacher of the Himalayan kriya yoga tradition through Ananda Mehrotra (Sattva Yoga Academy, 500Hr YTT) and have extensively studied scientifically how breath affects the human brain and nervous system (Nalanda Institute).

My work is shaped by my training as an ethnographer and experience as a professional facilitator, including 5+ years at the Deloitte Greenhouse leading executive strategy and innovation sessions for Fortune 100 companies.

Now, I facilitate inclusion, leadership and community development programs for some of the world’s top organizations through my company, Inheritance Project.

When not facilitating or teaching breathwork, you’ll find me dancing, cooking and hanging out with trees.

I look forward to breathing and connecting with you!

With love, Mallory
